NA Area Service in North Miami-Dade County
The North Dade Area Service Committee (ASC) supports Narcotics Anonymous groups throughout northern Miami-Dade County. The ASC coordinates services that help carry the NA message more effectively.
Area Service Committee (ASC)
The ASC is made up of trusted servants from local NA groups. It supports meetings but does not govern them. Each group remains autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or NA as a whole.
Hospitals & Institutions (H&I)
H&I carries the NA message into facilities where addicts cannot attend outside meetings, including jails, treatment centers, detox facilities, and hospitals. Panels introduce NA and provide information about attending meetings after release.
Helpline / Public Relations (PR)
This subcommittee maintains the helpline, responds to email inquiries, updates meeting information, and communicates accurate information about NA. PR helps the public understand what NA is and what NA is not.
Literature Distribution
Literature Distribution maintains an inventory of NA-approved literature, supplies local groups, supports H&I panels, and coordinates area literature orders.
Activities & Events Subcommittee
This subcommittee organizes speaker meetings, dances, picnics, and workshops that support unity within the fellowship.
